Creating Articles That Add Real Value

At AU Backlinks, we believe that every article should do more than just host a link – it should improve the website it’s placed on. Our goal is to create content that benefits everyone involved:

    • The reader, who gains useful information.
    • The host website, which gains quality content and engagement.
    • The client, who earns a genuine, relevant backlink.

We’re not here for quick wins or box-ticking SEO exercises. Every piece we publish should strengthen the web as a whole – a win for all parties.

    Our Standards for Content Creation

    1. Original, Quality Content

Our preference is that articles are written by humans – if you are using AI-generated or lightly edited AI drafts, content must be high quality and pass the scoring criteria below. Submissions must pass Phrasly AI detection and +90% uniqueness checks. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

    2. Strong Topical Relevance

Each article must clearly connect the host site’s audience to the topic and purpose of the target site. The link should make sense naturally within the content.

    3. Substantive Word Count

Minimum length: 1,500 words. Every article should explore its topic thoroughly, providing real depth and value – no filler, fluff, or keyword padding.

    4. Structured for Clarity

    Use a clear heading hierarchy:

    • One H1 only (the title)
    • Logical H2s and H3s to organise sections
Each section should be 150–250 words for readability.

    5. Clean, Professional Language

Write in Australian English, free from spelling or grammar errors. Keep the tone informative, neutral, and easy to read. Avoid jargon, clichés, and overly promotional language unless pre-approved.

    6. Real Expertise

Writers should demonstrate genuine understanding. Articles must be factually correct, current, and aligned with search intent. Every piece should leave the reader better informed than before they clicked.

    Link Placement Policy

    • No links in the title, first sentence, or first paragraph.
    • Place the first contextual link after 120–250 words, ideally below the first H2.
    • Only one client link per article.
    • Surround each link with 40–60 words of context explaining why it’s relevant.
    • Keep the paragraph and subhead thematically aligned with the linked page.
    • Use natural-sounding anchors – avoid over-optimisation or city-stuffing.
    • Leave at least one paragraph between outbound links.
    • Include 2–4 outbound authority citations (no competitors, PBNs, gambling, crypto, or loan sites).

    Formatting and On-Page Presentation

    • Title: under 60 characters, clear and specific.
    • Intro: 60–120 words explaining the problem and promising a takeaway.
    • Paragraphs: 2–4 sentences each for easy reading.
    • Media: 1–3 properly licensed images or diagrams (WebP preferred, under 150 KB).
    • Accessibility: All images should include descriptive alt text.

    Evidence & Compliance

    • Cite sources with brand and year, linking to the primary source.
    • For YMYL topics (e.g. health, finance, legal), include author credentials and a last-reviewed date.
    • Zero plagiarism tolerance. Originality reports must be provided if requested.

    Style & Voice

Write for humans first, algorithms second.

    • Prioritise clarity and usefulness.
    • Use short sentences and concrete verbs.
    • Avoid filler and unnecessary adjectives.
    • Keep tone neutral, unless a promotional angle is approved in advance.

    What We Will Reject

    • Generic AI-written or partially automated drafts
    • Articles without a credible topical bridge to the linked site
    • Over-optimised or keyword-stuffed anchors
    • Poor grammar or spelling
    • Vague, shallow, or recycled content

    Our Philosophy

At AU Backlinks, we see content as collaboration – not transaction.
A great article should strengthen the site it appears on, inform readers, and naturally enhance SEO without shortcuts. When we do it right, everyone benefits – the writer, the host, and the brand being linked.

That’s what we mean by a win for all parties.
